UK Euro Partner has been appointed to run the Sponsor a class programme which was established in London towards the end of 2006. The programme has been developed with help from 3M and is linked to LARSOA. As members of Rospa every attention is paid to the quality and reliability of the safety products, all components being EN certified.
The Sponsor a class programme has been developed with the specific aim of providing Visibility Kits to children of all ages in school, in the UK. The programme was initially designed to run for a 3-4 year period and is focused on the protection of school children by local company/organisation sponsorship. The cost of sponsorship has been reduced since the start of the programme whilst the contents of the kit have increased.
Presently UK Euro Partner is negotiating with HMRC to zero rate the VAT element or at least partially so, thus reducing the cost to sponsors further to around £330.00 delivered per average class size of 28 pupils, equating to around £11.00 to protect the life of a child at school or on the roads in the UK.
The programme was created by Safe Light, the Swiss organisation specialising in visible protection. "This is a cost effective method of bringing prtoection to an entire population of school children regardless of social or economic status" says a source from within Safe Light.
