Safe Light made its first appearance at the Southampton Boat Show this year, which happens to be the 40th anniversary year of the show. The feature of the Safe Light stand at E23 was the formal release of the MarineSafe Kit, which was well received by both the public and the industry alike. As part of the 40th year celebrations UKEP had all Polo shirts and jackets printed not only with the company and product logos but also with the anniversary detail. It was unfortunate then that the specially printed Musto Jackets were stolen from the stand during the day. These jackets are unique and were the envy of all who saw them including the great Henri Lloyd.
The show was generally a great success with new friendships and business relationships being rooted in the spirit of the show. UKEP sales manager Tony Harper was quoted as saying, "the southampton boat show represents an excellent opportunity to present new products and ideas to the public and the general boat industry, we have received tremendous response from the industry and outside support from IoW pickles".
Safe Light will concentrate on developing its network of sales and distribution throughout the UK as well as lookinginto Europe during the first quarter of 2009
